Adding the Folder to Your Repertoire of Great Wallpaper If you want to have easy access to them, you can add that folder to the Desktop pane of System Preferences easily. All together, Apple has provided 39 additional images that can be used for wallpaper. Of course, if you have a 4K or 5K display, they might be a bit small, but they’ll still look gorgeous. These images are all sized at 3200 pixels by 2000 pixels, so they should work nicely for most resolutions. Library/Screen Savers/Default Collections

Just make sure you’re careful about which Photo Stream you use as a screensaver if you decide to set this up on a Mac at work and have a lot of personal photos in your Photo Streams. The images are just in a folder that you might not think to check. You get a lot of different slideshow layout options to choose from in the Desktop & Screen Saver preference, and some of them add a great look to your photos. I say they’re hidden, but they’re really not. They look beautiful in the screensaver, and they’ll work just as well for great wallpaper backgrounds on your Mac’s display. There are also nature patterns, images of the cosmos, and aerial photographs. If you want to display the digital clock on desktop, there’s a lot of third party applications such as float clock. These images include gorgeous photographs from National Geographic, and more. You can show the digital clock in Menu bar(System Preferences -> Date & Time). How do I show the clock on my Mac desktop? Now you’ll want to configure your favorite screensaver. Right-click on the desktop, choose Personalize, and then click on Screen Saver on the bottom right-hand side of the window.
